Kia is one of the automakers that is doing everything it can to embrace the current surge of interest in smaller SUVs. Despite already having the Kia Soul occupying a spot in the subcompact crossover segment, Kia jumped on the opportunity to build a subcompact crossover that is shaped more like what SUV shoppers expect to see.
The 2021 Kia Seltos was the result of expanding the Kia lineup with a new subcompact crossover. Five trim levels have been made to allow shoppers to pick their preferred level of features without overwhelming them with options. The following chart includes the names of each trim and two highlights to look for that set each trim apart. The chart may include available features.
|LX FWD||Front-Wheel Drive||Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™|
|LX||All-Wheel Drive||17-Inch Alloy Wheels|
|EX||Black Sofino™ Leather||Sunroof|
|EX Premium||Wireless Phone Charger||10.25 Multimedia Interface with Built-In Navigation|
|SX Turbo||1.6L Turbo-GDI Engine||Bose® Premium Sound System|
The lowest trim level is the LX. That trim still supplies owners with lots of modern technology and safety equipment, but many Calgarians will step up to the LX with All-Wheel Drive without a second thought. The middle trim ups the comfort and luxury materials without pushing the price too much higher. The EX Premium will likely be popular because of its enhanced technology features. The SX Turbo should get the attention of power-hungry drivers and anyone who wants high quality sound in their SUV.
